Position: Administration Officer - Infrastructure
Short term contract - commences 13th August to 13th September
Belmont location
Mon-Fri - 8-5pm
$56.00 per hour
To provide efficient and effective administrative and customer support in a range of areas relating to the effective operation of the Infrastructure Department.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively maintain the day-to-day administrative activities and provide support to the Infrastructure Development Department
- In consultation with the Manager, administer allocated processes associated with the Infrastructure Services Clearances and Applications to construct crossovers, which includes but is not limited to:
- administer the provisions of the Vehicular Crossovers
- assess relevant plans and determine compliance with these Crossovers
- liaise with the Building and Planning Departments where required
- Receive public and general enquiries, complaints and correspondence, taking appropriate action where required
- Administer service requests
- Collate and maintain regular statistics and associated databases
Essential:
- Previous relevant administrative experience at a level working within a technical building and/or planning environment
- Well developed organisational skills and able to effectively prioritise projects
- Must adhere to strict timeframes
- Well developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to research and write letters, reports and submissions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- High level of MS Office skills
- Experience in an electronic Records Management system - preferable
- Ability to acquire the appropriate legislative endorsements - White Card
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within the last twelve months)
- Some exposure to engineering scaled plans and development documentation with ability to read and interpret the information
