Description

The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the DESF Area Coordinator in Perth. This position, based in the Perth Area, falls under the Administration department and offers a permanent, full-time opportunity for the right candidate. As the DESF Area Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of vital tasks essential to the efficient operation of our organisation. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing all administrative activities within the designated area
  • Managing and supporting support staff members, ensuring their productivity and adherence to organisational policies
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational processes and systems
  • Collaborating with other department heads to ensure seamless coordination across different functional areas
  • Providing regular reports on area performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
  • Acting as a point of contact between senior management and staff in the designated area
  • Monitoring budgetary constraints within the area and making recommendations for cost-effective improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws governing administrative functions
  • Participating in recruitment processes for administrative positions within the area
  • Maintaining accurate records of administrative activities, including but not limited to correspondence, policies, and procedures

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum Cert III or IV qualification
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing administrative tasks within a similar organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge of disability support services and an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities
  • Proficient in using office software and databases for data management and reporting purposes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting information to various audiences
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
  • A commitment to promoting empowerment, inclusion, and support for individuals with disabilities
  • Current WA Drivers Licence; NDIS Screen Check
