An opportunity has arisen for a Mine Planning Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer and operates on an 8:6 roster, with the option to work part of each swing from our Perth office.
Your focus will be on developing and maintaining practical mine plans that enable safe, efficient, and value-driven operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and optimising short- and medium-term mine designs, including stope and development plans.
- Completing detailed design work and documentation, including financial evaluations and control processes.
- Championing practical, value-driven design strategies aligned with operational priorities.
- Collaborating across teams to manage design workflows, track progress, and ensure the timely delivery of planning outputs.
- Working with operational teams in field to problem-solve, execute plans, and deliver on production commitments.
- Demonstrating safety leadership and promoting a strong HSEC culture through compliance and engagement.
Our ideal candidate will have operational experience as a Mining Engineer, including exposure to mechanised underground mines.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Exposure to underground mining methods, equipment, and backfill systems.
- Underground mine design capability across short- and medium-term planning horizons.
- Proficiency in mine planning software (Deswik preferred but not essential).
- A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
