Our client is a trusted provider of education and employment services across Western Australia. With a strong community focus, the organisation supports over 15,000 participants and students each year to achieve meaningful education and employment outcomes.
Delivering a range of government-funded programs including Transition to Work, Workforce Australia, and Self-Employment Assistance, this provider continues to grow and will soon expand into disability employment with the commencement of the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program from 1 November.
About the Role
Following the successful award of the federally funded IEA program, our client is seeking to appoint an experienced and values-driven employment services leader to support its implementation and lead statewide operations.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this newly created leadership position will oversee program delivery across six service regions, covering both metropolitan and regional locations including Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Albany, Bunbury, and Northam. The role will lead a growing team of up to 35 staff and work closely with a small group of trusted delivery partners.
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the head office in Perth, with regular travel required across WA. The role offers a competitive salary package, including a vehicle or vehicle allowance, a performance-related bonus, and potential relocation assistance for interstate candidates. Highly experienced candidates in senior regional leadership roles who are ready to step into an executive position are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support the strategic implementation and rollout of the state-wide Inclusive Employment Australia program
- Oversee service delivery across approximately 50 sites, including regional WA
- Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering strong engagement and outcomes
- Monitor contractual performance, KPIs, and service quality in line with government requirements
- Manage program budgets, staffing models, and claims processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders including government departments, community organisations, and delivery partners
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and community impact
- Participate in senior leadership team meetings and provide reports on placements, performance, and outcomes
About You
This role is ideal for a senior leader in employment services with a people-first approach and a passion for operational excellence in a purpose-led organisation. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale employment programs (DES, Workforce Australia, Transition to Work, or similar)
- A strong track record in achieving contractual performance across multi-regional operations
- Financial acumen and experience managing program budgets
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to support, coach, and develop teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across WA
- The ability to pass a National Police Check and obtain a Working with Children Check
