About The role
We are seeking a Developer to join our Digital Services Portfolio. This role is responsible for managing and supporting software applications, ensuring data integrity and security. You will design, develop, test, and maintain applications, manage CI/CD pipelines, and implement automation solutions. The position also involves investigating and resolving incidents, performing root cause analysis, and supporting service management processes.
You will collaborate with the Platform and Technology Lead, external service providers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organisational standards. This role also includes preparing technical documentation, supporting user training, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid Role)
Employment Type: Full-time Maximum Term contract until 30th June 2027
Salary: Band 4 ($91-$97k Plus 12% Superannuation)
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and document application requirements using best practice development and Agile methodology.
- Review and clarify functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code scripts for automation and deployment.
- Write and review software and system code, ensuring compliance with coding standards and quality assurance processes.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure quality project delivery and system maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including training and user guides.
- Support service management processes by managing Tier 3/4 support tickets and providing timely updates.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies, contributing technical expertise.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential experience and education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience with:
- .NET framework and ASP.NET (C#)
- SharePoint or web front-end development
- Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Node.js), JSON, and Web APIs
- Atlassian Suite or similar tools
- Prior experience and/or certification in Agile Software Development
- Strong understanding of software design, development standards, and application frameworks
- Proven ability to manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Proficiency in version control and CI/CD pipeline management
