Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our telehealth service on a contract basis. This position suits a clinically confident, autonomous practitioner who thrives in virtual care settings and values teamwork, professional growth and patient-centered practice. You will provide remote assessments, treatment planning and ongoing management for adults and adolescents with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments via telehealth, including risk assessment and safety planning where required.
- Develop and implement evidence-based management plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
- Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice and in accordance with Australian regulations and organisational policies.
- Provide brief interventions, psychotherapy-informed support and coordination of care with GPs, psychiatrists and allied health professionals.
- Document clinical encounters accurately, maintain confidentiality and comply with professional standards and telehealth best practices.
- Participate in case review, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) in General registration.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or relevant postgraduate qualification demonstrating advanced clinical competence.
- 1–2 years’ post-endorsement experience in mental health practice, ideally with exposure to telehealth or remote service delivery.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident with full work rights and current professional indemnity insurance as required.
- Strong communication skills, digital literacy for telehealth platforms, and commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
Desirable
- Experience working within integrated care teams and familiarity with local mental health referral pathways.
- Training in brief psychological interventions, cultural competency and trauma-informed care.
