Are you ready to take the next step in your network engineering career? RSM is seeking a Network Engineer to join our collaborative and innovative IT team in Perth. As a Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining RSM's network infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect infrastructure and data
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and procedures
- Provide technical support for network-related issues
- Assist with network upgrades and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to support organisational goals
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in network administration or network projects
- Fortinet experience is essential - candidates must be proficient in configuring and managing Fortinet products
- Fortinet certifications such as Fortinet Certified Fundamentals (FCF), Associate (FCA), Professional (FCP), or higher are highly regarded
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SDWAN)
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and best practices
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
- Understanding of network security best practices
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong documentation and organisational skills
- Customer-focused approach to technical support
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Commitment to compliance and industry standards
